Thank You
The Fruitdale High School Alumni Organization is proud to showcase the success stories of what we've done for Fruitdale High School and its students.
The Little Pirates Playground Thanks to the J.L. Bedsole Foundation, we were able to purchase new equipment and refurbish some existing equipment. This was a huge need after the tornado of November 2022.
Pirate MAP (Musical Appreciation Program) Music has been shown to enrich students lives, help with creative thinking process and build upon math skills. The J.L. Bedsole Foundation also provided funds for students grades 1-5 with musical recorders, books, and other equipment to integrate the musical arts in the classroom.
Outdoor Inclusive Musical Playground The Henson Kirkland Charitable Foundation awarded us monies to make the playground more accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
Growing Stronger: Project FHS AgriKids - The Porch Creek Indians awarded us money to go towards rebuilding the tornado damaged ag building, replacing equipment and supplies for our Agriculture program. This is a new project and our goal is to raise $80,000 to help rebuild the Ag building and provide tools for the program.

Thompson Square - Shawna of Thompson Square, a FHS Alumni, along with her husband Keifer did a benefit concert for the FHS Alumni Organization in Oct. 2023. The school had been severely damaged a year earlier with a EF1 tornado. In 2024, the school was going to turn 100 years old. Their generosity and Shawna's love for her alma mater, jumped start our fundraising efforts and help enabled us to become a 501c3 organization.
It is because of them, we were able to replace the old leaky walkway with a new one that should last for decades. The concrete bleachers were refurbished, new carpet in the Kindergarten classroom and several other projects were completed.
"Once a Pirate, always a Pirate!"- Shawna Thompson
